Rockstar and West Coast Customs Built the GTA VI Cars in Real Life. Good Luck Telling Which Is Which.

Rockstar went and built the GTA VI cars in real life. According to a press release covered by Complex, Rockstar partnered with West Coast Customs in Los Angeles on six full builds, and the cars rolled with Rockstar branding on the plate frames. Rockstar also handed out new in game screenshots so people could put the real ones and the game ones side by side. And that's the whole conversation in the comments right now. Which one is the game and which one is real.

The six cars

• Grotti Cheetah
• Pegassi Tempesta
• Progen Emerus
• Invetero Coquette
• Albany Buccaneer
• Albany Manana

The press release says each one "combines traditional metal fabrication with modern composite construction." Translation, these aren't wraps on a car you already know. They built them.

And this wasn't out of nowhere either. Back in mid October people in Miami were posting a convoy of these cars on Leonida plates driving around the city and out to Key Biscayne, including a Vice City police car with the full livery, per GTABoom. Rockstar didn't say anything at the time. Now we know.

This isn't the first time

Rockstar and West Coast Customs did this once before. In 2013 they built a real Bravado Banshee for GTA V. One car. This time it's six, and they're not all supercars. You got the Buccaneer and the Manana in there too, which is the part I actually love.

Why I care

Car culture in Miami is our culture. Lowriders, donks, the old school American coupes on big wheels, that's what you see at every car meet in Florida and every cookout where somebody pulls up just to be seen. Rockstar putting the Manana and the Buccaneer next to a Cheetah says they know Vice City isn't only exotics. It's the whole block. Same energy as the fits they put on the cover of Dazed. They're building a culture drop, not a game launch.

GTA VI drops November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. If you still need the details on price and preload, here's everything confirmed.
