Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 16, 2026
Last updated: September 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Cxmmunity Media ("Cxmmunity," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about visitors to cxm.co (the "Site"). Please read it carefully. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

This policy covers the cxm.co website only. Our other properties — including cxmmunitymedia.co, our newsletter, our Discord community, and our online store — may be governed by separate notices or by the privacy practices of the platforms that host them.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

We collect information you choose to provide, such as when you:

  • Subscribe to our newsletter or sign up for updates (name, email address)
  • Contact us through a form on the Site (name, email address, and whatever you include in your message)
  • Register for or express interest in an event, program, or partnership
  • Respond to a survey, poll, or research request
  • Apply to a creator program or submit content for consideration

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information through cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies, including:

  • IP address and general location derived from it (such as city or region)
  • Device type, operating system, browser type, screen size, and language settings
  • Pages viewed, articles read, time spent, scroll depth, and links clicked
  • The website or ad that referred you to the Site
  • Advertising identifiers and cookie identifiers assigned to your browser
  • Dates and times of your visits

Information from third parties

We may receive information about you from advertising and analytics partners, social media platforms where you engage with our content, event and ticketing partners, and brand or agency partners we work with on campaigns.

2. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, understand how it is used, and deliver and measure advertising. We group them as follows:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the Site to function, including security and bot protection (such as Google reCAPTCHA and Cloudflare).
  • Analytics — help us understand traffic and content performance, primarily through Google Analytics.
  • Advertising — used to serve ads on the Site, limit how often you see an ad, and measure ad performance, primarily through Google AdSense and Google Ads.
  • Functional — remember preferences such as your consent choices.

We use a consent management platform (CookieScript) to present cookie choices and record your preferences. You can change your choices at any time using the cookie settings control on the Site. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though parts of the Site may not work properly if you do.

We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. We do honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information where required by law.

3. Advertising and Analytics

The Site displays advertising and uses analytics tools. Specifically:

  • Google Analytics helps us measure traffic and content performance. You can opt out across all sites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Google AdSense and Google Ad Manager serve advertising on the Site. Google and its partners may use cookies and advertising identifiers to show you personalized ads based on your activity here and on other sites. You can manage this at Google My Ad Center and review Google's practices at How Google uses information from sites that use our services.
  • Google Ads conversion tracking helps us measure the performance of our own marketing campaigns.

You can opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies at once through the Digital Advertising Alliance, the Network Advertising Initiative, or, in the EU, Your Online Choices.

4. Our Cultural Intelligence Platform

Cxmmunity operates a first-party data platform we call our Cultural Intelligence Platform. Information about how audiences engage with cxm.co — such as which topics, creators, and categories are read and shared — may be incorporated into this platform.

We use this platform to understand cultural trends, inform our editorial and programming decisions, build audience segments, and produce insights and advertising services for brand partners.

Insights we share with partners are aggregated or de-identified. We do not sell your name, email address, or other directly identifying information to brand partners. However, because audience segments derived in part from Site activity may be used for advertising purposes, this activity may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising or a "sale" of personal information under certain state privacy laws. See Section 8 for how to opt out.

5. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site
  • Publish, personalize, and recommend editorial content
  • Send newsletters and updates you have requested
  • Respond to your questions and requests
  • Measure and improve the performance of our content and campaigns
  • Sell, serve, and measure advertising
  • Develop audience insights and research for our own use and for brand partners
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security issues
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

6. How We Share Information

We share information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers who perform work on our behalf — website hosting, email delivery, analytics, security, and similar functions — and who are permitted to use the information only to provide those services.
  • Advertising partners as described in Sections 3 and 4.
  • Brand and agency partners, in aggregated or de-identified form, as audience insights and campaign reporting.
  • Legal and safety purposes, when we believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Cxmmunity, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your directly identifying personal information for money.

7. Your Choices

  • Newsletter — every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Cookies — use the cookie settings control on the Site or your browser controls.
  • Advertising — use the opt-out tools listed in Section 3.
  • Access and deletion — contact us as described in Section 12.

8. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the rights described below.

Categories of personal information

In the past twelve months we have collected the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers — name, email address, IP address, cookie and device identifiers. Collected from you and automatically. Shared with service providers and advertising partners.
  • Internet or network activity — browsing and interaction data on the Site. Collected automatically. Shared with analytics and advertising partners.
  • Geolocation data — approximate location derived from IP address. Collected automatically. Shared with analytics and advertising partners.
  • Commercial information — records of content viewed and programs or events you expressed interest in. Collected from you and automatically.
  • Inferences — audience segments and interest profiles drawn from the above. Used for editorial, research, and advertising purposes.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information as that term is defined under California law, and we do not use or disclose it for purposes requiring a right to limit.

Your California rights

  • Right to know what personal information we have collected, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of parties we disclose it to
  • Right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information
  • Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights

How to opt out of sale or sharing

To opt out, use the cookie settings control on the Site and decline advertising cookies, transmit a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser, or email us at partner@cxmmunitymedia.co with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share."

Authorized agents

You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may ask for proof of the agent's authority and may ask you to verify your identity directly.

9. Rights Under Other State Laws

If you are a resident of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising and profiling. You may also have the right to appeal a decision we make about your request. To exercise these rights, or to appeal, contact us at partner@cxmmunitymedia.co.

10. Rights Under the GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

We rely on the following legal bases: consent for marketing emails and non-essential cookies; legitimate interests for operating and securing the Site, understanding our audience, and measuring our content; contract where you have asked us to provide something; and legal obligation where applicable.

We are based in the United States, and your information will be processed there. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers.

11. Data Retention, Security, and Children

Retention. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Analytics and advertising data are typically retained on the schedules set by the relevant platform.

Security. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children. The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us at partner@cxmmunitymedia.co and we will delete it. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 without the required opt-in consent.

12. Contact Us

For questions about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights described above, contact us at:

Cxmmunity Media
Email: partner@cxmmunitymedia.co
Subject line: "Privacy Request"

We will respond to verifiable requests within the timeframes required by applicable law. To protect your information, we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

13. Third-Party Links

The Site links to other websites, including those of our partners, creators, and advertisers. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. If we make material changes, we will provide a more prominent notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
