The Kickback is happening this week in Atlanta! With gaming and cosplay competitions, panels and a concert experience headlined by ATL’s own Kenny Mason, the evening blends culture and entertainment in a way that only Cxmmunity can.

Building on the hype of The Kickback 2024 featuring J.I.D, the event will bring together gamers, creators, and tastemakers for high-energy moments that celebrate creativity, competition, and community. It’s where the next generation of diverse talent levels up, connects, and takes center stage.

Below, we’ve highlighted all of the important details, so you can plan for the best experience at The Kickback. Keep reading for the details.

When and where is The Kickback?

The Kickback takes place on December 10 at the Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta.

Doors open for the event at 5:30pm local time. The panels begin at 6pm with a gaming lounge available for all attendees to mix, mingle and enjoy. This year, live performances begin at 8pm, hosted by
ManniSupreme.

Early arrival is encouraged for the evening activities, especially as the concert experience draws closer.

How do I get a ticket?

Tickets are free and available here.

Who is performing this year?

Kenny Mason will be the headliner for The Kickback and perform tracks from his latest project “Pup Pack:1st Shift!”.

A groundbreaking collaboration that seems predestined, “The Kickback” aligns perfectly with Mason’s creativity in its dynamic entry into a new frontier uniting music, gaming, anime, skateboarding and creative expression.

Known for his authenticity and generosity, Kenny Mason has always stayed close to the city that raised him. In that spirit, the event is free to make it accessible to his fans across Atlanta and his broader community.

What other live events are happening during the evening?

Attendees can try their hand at the $2,000 gaming prize pool. Step into the arena and prove your skills for a shot at the top prize. Competitions will be held on Mortal Kombat, Tekken 8, EA SPORTS FC, 2K26, and Madden NFL 26.

ATL’s biggest cosplay moment comes to The Kickback with a $1,000 cosplay contest! Bring your fit, your crew, and your energy. Sign-ups are open here and on-site at the Trap Sushi table.

What is the dress code for the event?

There is no dress code, but people will pop out. Come comfortable, come expressive, come as the version of yourself that feels most you. The Kickback will be full of people who understand the assignment without being told what it is.

What can I bring with me?

Be prepared to network with creators, supporters and industry insiders, so come with an open mind and questions to gain more insights for your own personal and professional journey.

This year’s event also features a toy drive. With Kenny Mason as a partner, guests are encouraged to bring a donation for local hospitals and charities.

Plan to travel light. The following bag policy is in place: Bags up to 12” x 6” x 12” are allowed in the venue. All bags will be searched prior to entry. Bags that are not clear will be subject to additional search.

Additional guidelines can be found here.

What else should I know?

Before the live performances, creators, musicians and industry professionals, such as Dallas Dupree Young and Stalley, will share their journeys navigating the space and how aspiring professionals can adapt to the changing landscape.
