MW4 Season 1 Is Live and Shoot House Is Back. That's All Some of Y'all Needed to Hear.

MW4 Season 1 went live at midnight and the first thing I looked for on the map list was Shoot House, and yeah, it's back. If you know, you know. On top of that Warzone got a whole new map, DMZ got a new zone, and this is the first Battle Pass of the game. Here's everything in MW4 Season 1.

When did MW4 Season 1 start?

Friday, November 6 at 12 AM ET (9 PM PT Thursday). Warzone Season 1 dropped at the same time.

New MW4 multiplayer maps

• Backstab (new)
• Canyon (new)
• Shoot House (back from MW2 and MW3)
• Overflow and Ministry come later in the season

New modes and events

• Gauntlet, a 1v1 mode
• Dropzone Grind
• Kill Block
• Wager Watch event

The first MW4 Battle Pass

Season 1 is the first Battle Pass in MW4. Rewards include the CSG-35 SMG, the Cronen Osprey AR, and the operator Blix, with the operator Zero coming through BlackCell. New weapons added this season include the Jak 12 shotgun and the ZLR Talonhawk melee weapon, and a few more come in through events.

DMZ in Season 1

DMZ gets a new location called XO1 with new bosses, a deep vault, Boss Boards, a 3D printer, and a BlackCell vendor. DMZ searches have been climbing hard since launch, people clearly missed it.

Warzone Season 1

• New battle royale map: Hajin
• New Resurgence map: Zodiac
• Verdansk and Rebirth Island come back later in the season
• New stuff like weather, Rally Point mode, Elite Perks, a Grabber Drone, and a Zipline Launcher
• Your MW4 weapons carry over to Warzone, and you can work the Battle Pass from Warzone too

Why this season matters

MW4 came out with some of the best reception a Call of Duty has had in years, and Season 1 is usually where you find out if a CoD has legs. Bringing back Shoot House and Verdansk in the same season tells you Infinity Ward knows exactly what people come back for. And the pros just started playing it for real this weekend at the Launch Invitational, which I covered in this week in esports.
