Keith Lee’s Familee Day
May 16 – New Orleans, Louisiana
Viral TikTok creator Keith Lee is bringing his online community into the real world with the launch of FamiLee Day, a festival centered around food, music and the family experiences. The event will feature local restaurants, live performances, activities designed to spotlight New Orleans culture, while supporting small businesses and underrepresented creators. With appearances from artists like Kirk Franklin and Tobe Nwigwe, FamiLee Day reflects the growing power of creators turning digital influence into community-driven experiences.
Momo Con Memorial Day with Trap Sushi & the Bae Brigade
May 21-23 – Atlanta, Georgia
Trap Sushi continues to blend anime, cosplay, gaming and Atlanta nightlife culture into one immersive experience during Momo Con weekend. In collaboration with Storymodebae's Bae Brigade and LAN Party, anime’s premier party team has become known for transforming nightlife spaces into community hubs for Black nerd culture. Trap Sushi events fuse DJs, cosplay, themed experiences and curated social spaces that feel equally rooted in anime fandom and Atlanta’s creative scene.
HBCU Geek Fest
June 7 – Catonsville, MD
HBCU Geek Fest celebrates the intersection of Black creativity, gaming, anime, comics and HBCU culture. The event has become a growing destination for cosplayers, gamers, creators and fans looking for a space that centers Black geek experiences unapologetically. From gaming tournaments and cosplay showcases to creator panels and networking opportunities, HBCU Geek Fest continues proving that Black nerd culture is foundational to modern fandom culture.
Dream Con 2026
July 10-12 – Houston, Texas
Created by RDCWorld, Dream Con has grown into one of the most important conventions in Black creator and gaming culture. The convention blends anime, gaming, music, internet culture and comedy into a massive community-driven experience that continues attracting fans from across the country. Returning to Houston for 2026, Dream Con has become known for celebrity appearances, cosplay, gaming tournaments and creator-focused experiences that make fans feel seen in spaces they were once excluded from.
