iShowSpeed, real name Darren Jason Watkins Jr., just purchased a 26,600 square foot industrial warehouse on a 1.8-acre lot near Miami's West Little River for nearly $11 million. The plan is to convert it into a full-scale content production studio. The Real Deal
Speed is among Forbes' Top Creators for 2026 with an estimated $30 million in earnings, has brand deals with Dick's Sporting Goods, Beats by Dre, and Doritos, and just performed at the FIFA World Cup closing ceremony. Just four years ago he was streaming from his mom's house in Ohio.
This Is More than Streaming
The deal signals a shift from fast-paced, location-based streaming to building a permanent creative base that can support bigger productions and long-term projects. The property has already been repainted completely black, hinting at a bold visual identity before renovations even begin.
Speed is following a blueprint that the biggest creators in the world have already proven works. MrBeast built a production warehouse in North Carolina. Dude Perfect built a 35,000 square foot headquarters in Texas. When you own your production infrastructure, you control what you can make, how fast you can make it, and how much of the revenue you keep. You stop renting someone else's vision and start building your own.
Reports suggest the space will be redesigned for filming, live streaming, collaborations, and possibly large audience-based content, giving Speed far more control over his output. That control is the whole point. Brand campaigns. Live events. Original series. A space that can host other creators and generate revenue when Speed is not even in the building. That is a media company.
The Ceiling Changes When You Own the Room
Speed already has the audience. He has nearly 60 million subscribers on YouTube, and his World Cup coverage this summer took his global appeal to a new level. He became the first streamer to perform at a World Cup and broke several viewership records in the process.
Brands that want access to that audience now have a production facility that can execute at a level that justifies significantly larger budgets.
