Future, Drake and Travis Scott Are All on One Song. Ya Hit Is Out Now.

Future just dropped "Ya Hit" and he brought Drake, Travis Scott and Loe Shimmy with him. It came out today, November 6, on Freebandz and Epic, with production from ATL Jacob, and Sexyy Red is on there doing ad-libs too.

This one didn't come out of nowhere. Future previewed it last month at a party in New York with Loe Shimmy, Travis Scott and Cash Cobain in the room, according to XXL. And it's landing less than four months after The Real Me, his July album that had 22 tracks and zero features and still debuted with 131,000 units for his 12th No. 1.

So going from no features at all to a posse cut with three of the biggest names in rap is a choice. XXL says "Ya Hit" is the lead single for his next album but there's no title or date yet, so I'm not going to act like there is.

The Drake part is what people are going to be talking about. Him and Future go way back, What A Time To Be Alive in 2015, "Way 2 Sexy," "Wait For U." Then things looked cold for a while, especially in 2024 when We Don't Trust You had shots a lot of people took as aimed at Drake. They already got back on a track together earlier this year on "Ran To Atlanta" from Drake's Iceman, and now this. And Drake didn't come quiet either, Stereogum caught him taking a shot at somebody over artist pay, no name attached.

Why this one matters to us

Atlanta rap, Houston rap and Toronto rap have basically been the soundtrack to every gaming session and every stream for the last ten years, and you just don't get records like this anymore where all of it lands on one song. When it happens it takes over every timeline at once, chat included. If you want to see how deep music and games already run together we did a list of 11 songs that sample video games, and Houston's reach into nerd culture goes further than one song, look at Megan Thee Stallion's place in the anime world.

What we don't know yet

The album. No title, no date, no tracklist. And no official video yet either, just the audio on Future's channel.

So who had the best verse, Future, Drake or Travis? Come argue it out in the CXM Discord.
