To kick off NBA All-Star Weekend, The Duke Agency and The Village came together to host their first creator and influencer basketball game series revealed as the Creator Crossover. The event was designed to bring together industry leading influencers across entertainment, sports, music, gaming, and fashion to have a competitive basketball game.
On Tuesday, Creator Crossover took place at the legendary downtown Los Angeles basketball facility Crosscourt. Founded in 2018 by Charles Seltzer, Crosscourt created a space for basketball competition, networking and community building for the greater LA communities.
"Our mission was simple: celebrate the best creators in the sports world and connect them with the industry's biggest players,” said Amir Duke, Founder and CEO of The Duke Agency.
When the doors opened, the night immediately began with an extended networking session for guests to get to know one another while the players warmed up for the game. Following the networking session, a game of knockout had event guests competing for bragging rights and exclusive door prizes.
A star-studded player roster brought talent together from across the country. The competitors included: The Real Nova, Brittany Lucio, The Wade Empire, Mariah Linney, Lauren Fitzmaurice, John Gaines, Daylan Bonner, Avery Brown, Valerie Michelle Van Dijk, Keith Manley II, Angel Reyes Muniz, Zach Andrews, Shannon Wallace, Anthony Henderson, Luke Lawal, Jerrold Smith II, Bentley Green, MOSA, SWISH, P’Jae Compton, Yannick “Thurz” Koffi and Tiffini Kristina.
Dance sensation Juneelite led halftime with his viral trend “Dance Break” to keep the crowd hyped and engaged during the 12-minute halftime period.
The event also brought out Shannon Wallace, who stars in “Beauty in Black” by Tyler Perry, to share his experience at the Creator Crossover.
Bentley Green was named as the inaugural Creator Crossover Series MVP for impactful offensive and defensive performance.
Other notable guests included event host Tallie Spencer, who kept the crowd involved and energized throughout the evening, and Lola Ann Clark, a rising Twitch streamer and media personality, as the interview correspondent.
In addition to Cxmmunity, the event also featured top brand partners that are at the pulse of entertainment and culture, including Round 21, Uncle Nearest, Tykoon.AI, 1440 Sports, Crosscourt and Glass House.
“With 1k+ RSVPs and 600k+ impressions, the energy was unmatched. A huge thanks to our amazing brand partners for showing out and equipping our creators with high-quality gear!" Duke said.
