Appearing as a special guest on Rory & Mal’s podcast, the renowned producer Jermaine Dupri casually dropped a major reveal. Drake, one of the biggest pop-icons in the world, may have his own radio station on Rockstar’s highly anticipated game, Grand Theft Auto VI.

“They asked me to do Grand Theft Auto, and they were saying like Drake got his own radio station on Grand Theft Auto.”

But that’s not even the full story. According to Dupri, not only will the OVO maestro have his own radio station but he’ll have the power to upload unreleased music at his own will. “Drake can actually upload music that we probably have never even heard online on that video game,” says Dupri. If this is true, it opens up the possibility of GTA VI debuting exclusive music through its own digital world.

While Rockstar hasn’t officially confirmed Drake’s involvement, fans of the Grand Theft Auto series have long dreamed of more control over in-game radio. Giving artists like Drake their own stations could mark a major evolution in gaming and music crossover.

If this comes to fruition, it could open up entirely new avenues for artists to market and release their music to the masses. GTA 6 will be more than a blockbuster release, by merging both worlds, it'll redefine how we experience both music and gaming into one seamless digital universe.

And Drake isn;t the only artist in the mix. Rumors suggest DJ Khaled to be hosting his own station, while T-Pain reveals he is confirmed to be working on music for the game as well. With only a year away, Grand Theft Auto VI is slated to release May 26th, 2026.
