Plaqueboymax has elevated his stardom beyond the sole label of an online streamer by earning his first Grammy nomination.
The song “Victory Lap,” produced by Plaqueboymax alongside British producer Fred Again and rapper Skepta, was nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Recording. The nominees for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards were announced on November 7 during a livestream on the Grammys official Youtube channel.
Other tracks featured in the category include: “No Cap" by Disclosure & Anderson .Paak, "Space Invader" by Kaytranada, "Voltage" by Skrillex, and "End of Summer" by Tame Impala.
This accomplishment marks a major career milestone for the 22-year-old New Jersey-based streamer.
He began his streaming career in 2021 on Twitch. He quickly rose in popularity through his freestyle sessions, gaming and engaging collaborations with celebrities and fellow content creators.
According to TwitchTracker.com, Plaqueboymax grew his Twitch followers to over 400,000 in only two years.
By 2024, his explosive growth caught the attention of FaZe Clan, one of the oldest and most popular streaming and esports brands, who would sign him until August 2025. He would go on to produce a live studio series called “In The Booth,” where other content creators like DDG would join him to create viral songs.
Most recently, Plaqueboymax has made an effort to help the next generation of streamers and musicians. At the most recent TwitchCon in San Diego, Plaqueboymax announced “The Next Big Streamer,” a competition that aims to help the growth of upcoming talent on the Twitch platform.
After his departure from FaZe Clan, he announced that he would be focusing on his brand, 5$TAR Collective.
The 68th Annual Grammy Awards take place on February 1 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
