IShowSpeed is keeping his Olympic dream alive, getting tips from four-time Olympic medalist and former world champion Ato Boldon as he works toward running the 100m sprint at the 2028 Games. The YouTube star, known for his quick bursts of speed during IRL streams, has made racing athletes and fans a regular part of his content. While he was recently beaten by 100m Olympic champion Noah Lyles, Speed vowed to try out for the U.S. Olympic track team, saying he’s determined to put his speed to the ultimate test.
To make the team, Speed will need to compete in official trials, post qualifying times at sanctioned events, and be a USA Track and Field member in the Olympic year. Still, he remains confident, sharing Instagram stories of his training with Boldon and praising the “great work on the track today” they accomplished. Whether or not he reaches the Olympics, Speed’s commitment shows he’s serious about chasing this ambitious goal.
The goal is to acquire $5 million to prepare for the first day of classes at the new school. "That's what we're aiming for," Cenat said, per Dexerto.
